The Jubilant Salad Subscription

Join our Salad Subscription program to enjoy effortlessly delicious salads all year!

I hear you, my friend! Salad shopping ain't easy!

How many times did you head to your local grocery store to make a flavorful crispy salad, only to find yourself chewing through a mix really disappointing greens?

This is no joke!

Imagine yourself. You walk in the isles of your favorite grocery store, thinking about a fantastic dinner. Maybe a Caesar Salad? Or maybe Arugula? Or Spinach, perhaps? You're thinking, as you're browsing through all this colorful food, about the dressing recipe you found on TikTok that would work wonders with a gorgeous salad.

You arrive to the greens section and everything looks... suspiciously dull.

Scrawny microgreens, yellow salad greens. It doesn't look great.

So you grab the best looking bag of greens you can find, you toss it in your delicious dressing and the result is... still not great.

Isn't it disappointing how bad the greens at grocery store are?

The fundamental reality of vegetables at the grocery store is that they are grown with the primary purpose of being able to be shipped, stored, and ultimately displayed on a store shelf without rotting for an extended period of time. With such a stringent requirement, growing produce to taste delicious is unfortunately not an option.

And to make matters worse...

Despite the selection for shelf life, due to the length of the shipping process produce has used up a significant amount of its shelf life simply arriving to you!

As a result, when you finally get the produce that has been shipped from Arizona, California, Mexico, or Chile (to name a few) those veggies are on the way out. Once a vegetable has been harvested, it immediately begins to lose nutritional value as it feeds on its own nutrients to avoid decomposing. Ultimately, this means that when you purchase produce from the grocery store that then spoils on you within a few days, when you finally got it, those veggies were already on their last leg of life.

And at Jubilant Farms, we want to give you the possibility to eat plenty of fresh, local and tasty vegetables that won't spoil right away!

Is your only option the farmers market?

Who wants to wake up at 7am on a Saturday?

Being a small local farm means that the only real means of distribution available is selling at Farmers Markets, which is most likely where you've come to learn about us.

Still, many things can get between you and great veggies, even at the markets!

Farmers markets are a great way to spend time with your friends, strolling around beautiful and colorful produce, connecting with farmers, bakers, butchers or artisans and getting their insights on what they produce and sell with care and dedication.

But they have very limited hours with them only being open Saturday mornings, they're very weather sensitive (because honestly, who wants to go the market when its freezing, raining, or the pavement is hot enough to fry an egg).

And most significantly, in order to even get the best selection you have to arrive not within the 4 hour window that the market is open for, but rather the first 30 minutes of opening!

You have to roll out of your comfy bed stupid early, get dressed and ready to leave the house (on a Saturday!!!!), remember your cooler bag, make sure you're there just on time.

And on top of having done all of that, maybe you still miss out on your most favorite item!

And let's not even talk about if you dare to sleep 10 minutes longer! Especially in the summer, highly requested products are gone in the first hour of the market.

We want to make sure everyone has a fair chance, no matter what!

This is why we developed our Jubilant Salad Subscription!

A home delivery program where you receive the best produce we grow on a regular basis, choosing between Weekly, or Every-other-Week options!

We want to cut out that discomfort and make it easy for you to enjoy delicious salads regardless of the season, your busyness, or the weather on that particular Saturday!

We all know that local, organic produce just can't be beat by what's found at the grocery store, but supporting local farms shouldn't have to be limited to a narrow window of time on the weekend.

It combines our obsession for growing great, sustainable produce with home delivery in an easy subscription package so you can enjoy effortlessly delicious salads every week!

The Jubilant Salad Subscription is for...

  • ... those who have trouble coming to the market to get access to the best produce before it sells out, and wish to have one less thing to worry about
  • ... those who wish to eat fresh and delicious salads and want to avoid the disappointment of the grocery store
  • ... those who wish to support local food no matter the season
  • ... those who wish to receive healthy, delicious produce worry free

Got questions on how it's going to function? Fear not, we got everything you need here!

Here's how it works:

How often will I receive my delivery?

You decide! We have 2 frequency options you can choose between so that you can get the finest produce we grow only as often as you need. Every Week, or Every-other-Week!

Because our produce is of high quality and most importantly, fresh, when you receive it, it generally lasts close to 2 weeks. Thus giving you the option to get an order a bit less frequently if you don't eat as much!

What's the content of each order?

Every order will be made up of 5 produce items, all meant to make it easy to create delicious salads, or to get a bit creative with! The basic structure of the orders varies a bit but generally looks like this:

- 1, 4oz Jubilant Salad Mix (Our signature Mild, Sweet, and Spicy salad blend)

- 1, 4oz Alternating Salad Green (This varies week to week between Spring Mix, Arugula, and Southern Spinach)

- 1, 1.5oz Micro forest (our signature Mild, Nutty, Sweet and Peppery microgreens blend)

- 1, 1.5-2oz Alternating Microgreen (This varies week to week between Sunflower shoots, Pea shoots, Micro Broccoli, Micro Chinese Cabbage, and Micro Arugula)

- 1 Seasonal Veggie (This item has the most variety, as during the cooler seasons you can expect to receive Radishes, Salad Turnips, Carrots, Beets, Broccolini, Cabbage, Head Lettuce, Swiss Chard, or Kale while during the hot season it'll look more like Tomatoes, Cucumbers, or Snacking Peppers!)

As a subscriber, you get elevated to being our highest priority customer. As such, when choosing the veggies that are to go to you, we select our most exclusive items first! That means that while we may have no tomatoes or carrots available at our market booths, you will have been enjoying them for weeks!

With that in mind, we have an early crop of tomatoes that if all pans out according to plan, we'll begin harvesting in late March! As a subscriber we'll be sure you receive those first bites of summer long before they arrive at our markets!

How many salads can I expect to make with an order?

Each subscription order contains enough salad greens and microgreens to make 4 to 8 servings of salad comfortably.

Most of our customers that are families get a weekly order, those that are single/a couple get either a weekly or ever-other-week order depending on how much salad they eat.

Bear in mind, because our salad is much tastier than store bought, you might find yourself eating it a lot more often!

Can I pick up at the farmers market?

Absolutely! We love to see you at the market booth, that's why those who decide to pick up will get an extra item for free!

What if I don't love certain items and I don't wish to receive them?

Let us know in the notes box upon signup and we'll make sure to avoid giving you those particular veggies! While the subscription items are chosen by us and vary week to week to keep it somewhat dynamic, we don't want you hating something you receive!

What happens if I have to skip a week?

Going out of town? No problem!
Please just notify us at least by the Wednesday ahead of your order, and we'll be happy to skip that week! We can then add a 1 week delay to your billing cycle to account for the skipped order.

How should I prepare for the delivery?

On Saturday after the market we'll deliver directly to your home! The only thing we ask of you is to please leave out a cooler on your front porch. This makes it easier for us to spot your house, protects your delicate produce from the environment, and saves bags!

During the cooler time of year, there is no need to place ice in your cooler, we will be delivering your produce cold anyway! During the summer, putting some ice covered with a towel in the cooler is a great way to ensure they stay fresh until you can bring them inside!

We expect to be able to complete the deliveries between 1pm and 5pm. If we're running behind on a given day, we'll be sure to keep you updated.

One more thing! Referrals!

The more the merrier, right? Refer your friends and receive free orders!

We want your help sharing the green love, and are happy to reward you for it!

Home delivery is, simply put, complicated. We're happy to offer it due to the convenience it provides as well as the consistency that it brings our little farm. One thing that makes it easier is delivery density!

More customers in a small area make delivery far more manageable and affordable!

The referrals will work quite simply.

Recommend your friends, family, neighbors, or dog walker to our subscription program and when they purchase ANY subscription (Weekly, Every-other-Week, on either a 12 week prepaid, or week to week subscription) we'll add one free order to your account and one free order to their account as well!

We're often asked by our customers how to further support us, and there is frankly no better way than spreading the Jubilance to all!

How *exactly* to refer them?

Send them to this page so they can learn about the program, and then upon checkout ask them to add a note mentioning your name that says "I was referred by (insert name)"

We'll see the order come in along with the referral note and will then add a free extra order to each of y'all's accounts!

Being referred?

As written in the two bullet points up above, just:

  • Write in the notes box at checkout the name of who referred you!
  • Then, we'll add a credit for a free order to your account!
